A little update

Goodness... it has been quite awhile since I last posted anything.
The last few months have flown by.
I've spent some of that time arguing with my (former) dermatologist over a biopsy he did on my nose.
He biopsied the wrong freaking area and you can clearly see in the pic below that the spot he had previously treated with cryosurgery is ABOVE the biopsied area:
He actually admitted he had done the wrong spot in front of a nurse but then at the end of the meeting decided that he must have gotten a sliver of the previously treated spot based on the lab results (no cancer, thankfully).  After he left the room, his nurse gave me a big hug and said how sorry she was this had happened to me.  So I still have that red mark and an indention in the center of my nose that will allegedly flatten out... only time will tell!

We had a really nice holiday.  Two of my four brothers came to town.  I especially missed my brother Rob who I hadn't seen in two years.  We got to go play hockey a couple of times which was awesome.  It had been about 14 years since we'd last played together!

We got to go up to Atlanta for the Panthers-Falcons game last month too. My husband's uncle is a coach with Carolina so it was especially nice to be there for the win!
It was also our first time to take the MARTA (subway/rapid transit) in Atlanta.  Sooo convenient. We will definitely do that again!

This past week my husband and I had a little day date and tried out Brown Dog Deli on Broad Street downtown (Charleston).
I had this yummy (blurry) salad. It was sooo good. I am definitely going back there to try more of the menu options.

I finished What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty the other day.
It is probably one of my favorite books now. The story opens with Alice having passed out and hit her head at the gym. When she comes to, she thinks it is 1998 but it is actually 2008.  The book definitely had me thinking about things in my own life. If you loved The Husband's Secret or any of Liane Moriarty's other books, you will love this too!

Have a great day y'all!

  1. That is crazy about your dermatologist... let me know who it is so I DON'T go there!! That is AWESOME that your husband's uncle is a coach for the Panthers!! We've definitely become Panthers fans since moving down here and definitely want to go to a game next year :)
